About the Role

Ridge & Partners LLP is seeking an experienced Employers Agent to join our team in our Winchester office. As an Employers Agent, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients and developers in the residential development sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client and Stakeholder Management
    • Support with pre-contract and post-contract meetings, taking and issuing minutes promptly
    • Coordinate with clients, developers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution
  • Project Coordination
    • Review drawings and specification proposals from contractors and developers
    • Assist with the compilation of specifications and tender documents, including Employer's Requirements
    • Coordinate specialist surveys and tasks required from other project-related consultants
  • Project Monitoring and Control
    • Monitor progress with adoption agreements relating to highways, drainage, and off-site works obligations
    • Prepare and maintain a master programme from concept to completion, to record principal activities and identify critical dates
  • Contract Administration
    • Arrange the execution of Contract Documents, Performance Bonds, and Warranties
    • Assist clients with audit information, including schedules of accommodation, floor areas, and other relevant data
  • Site Inspections and Defect Management
    • Conduct on-site inspections and pre-handover 'snagging'
    • Track and monitor post-completion defects, liaising with clients' customer care teams and ensuring satisfactory conclusion of defects
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of the construction and development sector. While a background in this area is desirable, we are open to candidates with a willingness to learn and progress rapidly. Essential skills include:

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to form close business relationships with colleagues and provide a reliable and personable service to clients
