Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Assistant Director of People Operations and Data Systems at Goldsmiths, University of London. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a contemporary, solutions-focused HR service that supports academic heads and managers and enhances the staff experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the People Operations and Data Systems services, focusing on ensuring efficient operations, continuous process improvement, and an enhanced employee experience.
  • Manage recruitment, HR systems, people operations, information and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies and support university-wide projects.
  • Drive the university's People Strategy, working closely with the Director of People & Organisational Development and their wider leadership team.

Requirements

We are looking for a resilient and flexible HR professional passionate about data and systems, who thrives on change, and excels in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a dynamic HR team currently supporting the university through a major change programme, requiring resilience, flexibility, strategic thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience with data systems and proficiency in data analysis tools, particularly in a higher education setting.
  • Excellent management and interpersonal skills, with strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Creativity, innovation, curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
