Study Skills Support Specialist

Job Summary:
Randstad Student Support is currently recruiting a Study Skills Support Specialist to provide one-on-one support to students with specific learning difficulties (SPLD) in the Bath area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide learning support and academic guidance to students with SPLD
- Create individual learning plans tailored to each student's needs
- Encourage students to become independent learners
- Support students to develop independence, build on strengths and learning strategies, create strategies around organisation and time management, create action plans to stay on track with studies, build on research skills, distinguish appropriate sources and how to correctly use references, and build on comprehension skills within reading and writing
- Work with students to identify ways of helping them build on their learning strengths while maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
Requirements:
- Membership with one of the following professional bodies: British Dyslexia Association (BDA), Professional Membership The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE), Dyslexia Guild, or The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS)
- Experience of working with clients with specific learning difficulties
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Punctuality and reliability
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of students
