Bookkeeper (Hybrid) Part Time Hours Christchurch Area

Reed is recruiting for a Bookkeeper to support an established Accountancy Practice based near Christchurch. This opportunity is offered on a hybrid basis for part-time hours, assisting existing clients and the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Data Entry: Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts, and enter data into accounting software or databases, then file hard copies.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements showing business income and expenditure.
  • Vendor Invoicing and Bank Account Management: Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances.
  • VAT Returns: Complete VAT returns.
  • Account Verification: Verify the accuracy of business accounts and alert the Accountant of errors.
  • Financial Analysis: Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets.
  • Employee Management: Prepare employee wages and manage employee expense claims.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the Accountant with administrative duties and prepare yearly accounts.
