About the Role

ADAS, a leading supplier of independent technical, environmental, and farm business advice, is seeking a highly skilled Agricultural Business Development Specialist to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis in Wigan.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in farm business management consultancy services, including strategic planning, farm business reviews, and financial analysis and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and apply skills across a range of farm business management consultancy services to enable clients to achieve their overall business objectives.
  • Work alongside other members of staff to provide independent direction and actions to improve performance on a continual basis.
  • Analyse problems and provide independent and cost-effective solutions to clients, including technically correct and legally compliant advice.
  • Grow knowledge of the use of ADAS ALM support tools, including BPS Impact Calculator, Xero, and FM9.
  • Upskill technical and business knowledge with a mentor to facilitate development as a consultant, producing technical reports to a good standard with attention to detail.
  • Grow understanding of ADAS ALM and the wider ADAS businesses through online learning and internal networking.

Requirements:

  • Agricultural or business-related qualification to HND or Degree level in a land-based subject area.
  • Previous relevant practical experience in agriculture is preferable but not essential.
  • Good communication skills, both internally and externally, to influence key decision-makers.
  • Consistent high standard of work with attention to detail.
  • Creative and solution-orientated with a determination to deliver value to the client.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel away from home base, including overnight stays, when required.
