About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Analyst to join our Secured Credit Risk Strategy team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in analyzing data from various sources to provide valuable insights into our mortgage lending operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collate information from a wide range of data sources to form a cohesive story and prepare reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Provide the business with in-depth analysis of mortgage lending performance and develop lending strategies that balance risk appetite with growth and financial targets.
  • Support and coach SAS analysts, utilizing your experience to drive best practice and instill new analytical techniques.
  • Explore new data sources and technology solutions to improve mortgage journeys, from proof of concept to implementation, working with third parties and making recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of the financial services sector, with the ability to read and interpret data to inform Nationwide's business decisions.
  • Previous experience of analyzing and interpreting data in a professional environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables and lookups.
  • Strong aptitude for programming and coding tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and present complex information to varied audiences.
