About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Analyst to join our Secured Credit Risk Strategy team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in analyzing data from various sources to provide valuable insights into our mortgage lending operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collate and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends and patterns in mortgage lending.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting and IFRS 9 models to ensure accurate risk assessment and management.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior stakeholders on risk management strategies and lending policies.
  • Support and coach SAS analysts to drive best practice and analytical techniques.
  • Explore new data sources and technology solutions to improve mortgage journeys and enhance risk management capabilities.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in risk analysis and management, with a strong understanding of the financial services sector.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong programming and coding skills, with experience in developing and maintaining complex models.
  • Self-motivated and articulate, with excellent presentation and communication skills.
