About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Analyst to join our Secured Credit Risk Strategy team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in analyzing data from various sources to provide valuable insights into our mortgage lending operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collate and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends and patterns in mortgage lending.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting and IFRS 9 models to ensure accurate risk assessment and management.
  • Provide data-driven insights to senior stakeholders to inform lending strategies and risk appetite.
  • Support and coach SAS analysts to drive best practice and analytical excellence.
  • Explore new data sources and technology solutions to improve mortgage journeys and risk management.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of the financial services sector and mortgage lending operations.
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience of pivot tables and lookups.
  • Experience of analyzing and interpreting data in a professional environment.
  • Self-motivated, articulate, and highly numerate with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently, with a logical approach and attention to detail.
  • Strong aptitude for programming and coding tools.
