We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Analyst to join our Secured Credit Risk Strategy team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in analyzing data from various sources to provide valuable insights into our mortgage lending operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collate and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends and patterns in mortgage lending.
- Develop and maintain forecasting and IFRS 9 models to ensure accurate risk assessment and management.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders to inform lending strategies and risk appetite.
- Support and coach SAS analysts to drive best practice and analytical excellence.
- Explore new data sources and technology solutions to improve mortgage journeys and enhance risk management capabilities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in risk analysis and management, preferably in the financial services sector.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in building relationships and communicating with confidence, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong aptitude for programming and coding tools.
