About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Design Manager to join our team at Iron Mountain. As a Design Manager, you will play a critical role in defining and overseeing the design of our data centre projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope and objectives, and develop detailed project plans and timelines.
  • Oversee the work of external consultants, including architects, structural engineers, and M&E consultants.
  • Review and approve design submissions, ensuring that they meet Iron Mountain's standards and requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure that design solutions meet the needs of Iron Mountain and its stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and collaboration with the project team, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Ensure that design solutions are aligned with Iron Mountain's business objectives and strategies.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, and apply this knowledge to improve design solutions and project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data centre design and project management, with a strong understanding of design principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of Iron Mountain's business objectives and strategies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong technical skills, with proficiency in design software and tools, such as Autodesk Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
