Position Overview:

As a Technical Sales Specialist at Flowserve, you will play a crucial role in nurturing and expanding relationships with essential clients and industry associations. Your focus will be on comprehending and reinforcing purchase agreements, customer partnerships, and market dynamics.

You will gain a comprehensive understanding of Flowserve's operations to improve sales effectiveness and synchronize selling efforts with internal teams and external partners. The role serves as the primary liaison for all customer-related technical support, product assistance, and the promotion of our offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive the sales of innovative pumps, seals, and service solutions to both existing and prospective clients by promptly addressing inquiries, assessing customer requirements, and identifying new business opportunities. Achieve and surpass assigned sales targets through effective booking strategies. Maintain consistent and structured communication with key clients in your designated area to ensure a high level of service and meet established sales objectives. Formulate and execute marketing strategies that align with regional sales goals to support the broader organizational objectives. Act as the primary point of contact for all business interactions, ensuring that customer inquiries regarding proposals, deliveries, repairs, quality, and warranty claims are effectively managed. Educate clients on the quality, features, and applications of our products utilizing comprehensive marketing resources. Collaborate with application engineers, customer service, and manufacturing teams to ensure customer needs are met efficiently. Possess knowledge of the design and operational requirements of rotating pumps, mechanical seals, and related technologies. Demonstrate proficiency in product demonstrations, presentations, and business communication. Utilize technology tools such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint effectively. Maintain organized documentation, including regular reports, quotes, status updates, and expense tracking. Exhibit financial insight to discuss business decisions, particularly regarding return on investment in support of solution-oriented selling. Work independently and efficiently while fostering productive communication with colleagues.

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include trade or engineering credentials. A minimum of 5 years of experience with rotating equipment is required. Sales experience with rotating equipment such as pumps and mechanical seals is advantageous; training will be provided. Experience in selling to end users and aftermarket sectors is preferred. Excellent communication skills are essential. Proficiency in computer applications is necessary. Professional demeanor and organizational skills are expected. Strong customer-centric approach. Team-oriented mindset. Ability to cultivate and sustain effective working relationships within your team and the organization. Capability to work autonomously and independently. High level of technical knowledge is required. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and budgetary goals for assigned clients. Experience in business development, focusing on identifying and acquiring new clients. A solid reputation for delivering and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Ability to assist in ensuring timely delivery by providing realistic delivery timelines. Commitment to collaborating as part of a dedicated team to deliver exceptional service to clients, including providing timely and accurate solutions to resolve technical issues.
