About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Curriculum Lead - English to join our team at Pearson. As a key member of our Assessment & Qualifications organization, you will play a critical role in the development and delivery of our National Curriculum Assessment products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Material Development and Marking: Deliver high-quality material development and marking services for our National Curriculum Assessment products, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to meet business needs.
  2. Leadership and People Management: Lead a team of subject matter experts, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  3. Technical Assessment Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in National Curriculum Assessment, providing technical guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
  4. Quality Assurance and Improvement: Ensure the integrity of our marking processes, driving improvements in methodology and quality assurance to meet business needs.
  5. Cost Management: Manage the financial aspects of our marking workstream, ensuring cost-effectiveness and achieving business objectives.
  6. Strategic Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Marker population, to ensure successful delivery of our National Curriculum Assessment products.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in material development and marking for National Curriculum Assessment products.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in leading teams and developing subject matter experts.
  • Technical expertise in National Curriculum Assessment, with ability to provide guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, with strong organizational and time management skills.
