Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Band 7 Senior Community Eating Disorder Nurse to join our team at AWP (Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust). This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality care to individuals living with eating disorders in Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Bath, and North East Somerset.

Main Responsibilities
  • As an autonomous practitioner, you will be responsible for a clinical caseload using the Care Programme Approach, working with complex service users.
  • You will develop packages of care to meet the highly specialized needs of the client group, ensuring excellent medical monitoring and interpretation of results.
  • With a strong working knowledge of medical implications related to eating disorders, you will provide specialist education, supervision, and support to clinical staff in Primary and Secondary Health settings.
  • You will participate in the monitoring of standards and outcomes within the service, advising Trust clinical staff, Primary care staff, and staff of voluntary agencies on clinical practices for eating disorders.
  • As a resource person, you will provide advice to generic general adult psychiatric services regarding ED interventions and services.

Requirements
  • Extensive post-qualification experience, including community working experience.
  • Formal postgraduate diploma level qualification in a relevant field, such as CBT or Clinical Leadership, or equivalent knowledge gained through practice.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a complex caseload, demonstrating excellent risk assessment and management skills.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
