Position Overview

We are seeking a Taxation Lead to enhance our expanding tax department. In collaboration with Senior Tax Managers, the Head of Tax, and teams across finance, payroll, and HR, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the group's tax obligations, both domestically and internationally. Your contributions will support a variety of tax initiatives while ensuring compliance and managing tax-related risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the compliance of the Group's UK and international corporation tax, including quarterly provisions, tax returns, transfer pricing strategies, and R&D tax credit submissions.
  • Lead efforts in tax risk management and governance within the organization.
  • Address employment tax matters, ensuring compliance with annual requirements and establishing payroll for overseas personnel.
  • Assist with tax reporting obligations, including FATCA, CRS, BBSI, and CT61 returns.
  • Facilitate communication between finance and tax/payroll teams as necessary.
  • Engage in strategic tax advisory projects related to international growth, tax structuring, and IPO preparations.
  • Support compliance with indirect taxes both in the UK and abroad.
  • Provide internal tax guidance and prepare relevant documentation and training materials.

Qualifications

  • Solid background in tax and finance, acquired through practice or industry experience.
  • Familiarity with international tax regulations is advantageous.
  • Experience in indirect and employment tax is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn in new areas are essential.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA are desirable but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to convey complex tax issues to diverse audiences.
