We are collaborating with a prominent global Oil and Gas firm seeking a Taxation Manager to enhance their London operations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting tax frameworks, risk management, and the company's international endeavors. A solid background in corporate taxation is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the execution of tax governance obligations.
  • Prepare annual corporate tax provisions and assist with year-end tax accounting activities.
  • Address tax inquiries throughout the organization and pinpoint opportunities for tax optimization and risk mitigation.
  • Offer tax guidance for the company's growing international divisions and initiatives, including insights on tax consequences and investment strategies.
  • Supervise the preparation of Corporate Interest Restriction tax filings.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with global tax authorities and external tax consultants.
  • Contribute significantly to the formulation of the company's tax strategy and the expansion of the tax function as the organization evolves.
  • Assist the broader finance team in addressing tax authority audits or statutory auditor evaluations, particularly regarding transfer pricing or international tax matters.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Tax Accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, CTA).
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in direct taxation (legislation & policies), particularly within the UK oil, gas, and power trading sectors.
  • Excellent time management abilities, ensuring precise and timely tax compliance reporting.
  • Proficient in managing and implementing tax functionalities within SAP or similar ERP systems.
