Position Overview
We are seeking a Taxation Lead to enhance our expanding tax department. In collaboration with Senior Tax Managers, the Head of Tax, and other teams such as finance, payroll, and HR, you will play a vital role in overseeing the organization’s UK and international tax obligations. This includes managing compliance and mitigating tax risks while supporting diverse tax initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the compliance for the Group's UK and international corporation tax, which encompasses quarterly tax provisions, tax returns, transfer pricing strategies, and R&D tax credit claims.
- Lead efforts in tax risk management and governance within the broader tax team.
- Address employment tax matters, including annual compliance tasks and establishing payroll systems for overseas staff.
- Assist with tax reporting obligations such as FATCA, CRS, BBSI, and CT61 returns.
- Facilitate communication between finance and tax/payroll teams as necessary.
- Engage in strategic tax advisory projects, including international expansion and tax structuring.
- Support indirect tax compliance both domestically and internationally.
- Provide internal tax guidance, including the preparation of memos and training materials.
Qualifications
- Strong background in tax and finance, acquired through practice or industry experience.
- Familiarity with international tax regulations is advantageous.
- Experience in indirect and employment tax is preferred but not mandatory.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential.
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA are desirable but not required.
- Ability to work independently with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to convey complex tax concepts to diverse audiences.
