We're looking for an experienced Cook to join our team, responsible for preparing and delivering healthy, nutritious, and fun menus for students and staff. As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll focus on delivering high-quality food and service, with flair and originality.
Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Cook, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing menus using provided recipes
- Ensuring Food Hygiene, Allergen, and Health and Safety compliance
- Producing hospitality services as per client requests
- Supervising the team
- Building relationships with clients and customers
- Providing a friendly and polite customer service experience
We're looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to our schools. You'll need:
- Knowledge of education catering, using fresh ingredients, and excellent craft skills
- Food Hygiene level 2 & 3 (further training available)
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices
- Computer literacy with experience of using different systems
- Self-motivation, ability to use initiative, and a desire to learn and achieve while motivating others
We offer fantastic hours, working Monday to Friday during school term time, with more time for friends and family and no working at Christmas. This role is:
- 20 hours per week, with no late nights
- Working 38 weeks per year, based around term time
- £12.50 per hour
