Key Responsibilities of the Senior Manager of FP&A:

  • Oversee the formulation and implementation of the annual budgeting cycle, encompassing revenue projections, expense estimates, and capital investment planning.
  • Engage with departmental leaders to ensure financial objectives are in sync with the broader business strategy.
  • Generate monthly forecasts and variance reports to assess financial performance relative to budget and historical data.
  • Identify significant variance drivers and offer actionable insights to enhance financial results.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to evaluate critical projects, investment prospects, and potential business challenges.
  • Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to gauge the financial repercussions of various strategic choices.
  • Create and sustain management reporting dashboards and key performance indicators to track organizational performance.
  • Communicate financial outcomes and insights to executive management in a clear and concise manner to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to aid in long-term planning, scenario assessments, and investment evaluations.
  • Continuously update models to reflect evolving business conditions and market trends.
  • Work closely with teams in Sales, Operations, Quality, and Human Resources to ensure financial strategies align with operational goals.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to functional leaders, providing financial acumen and support.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning processes.
  • Utilize automation and digital tools to streamline workflows and minimize manual tasks.
  • Support business unit-level projects, special initiatives, and ad-hoc financial analyses as required.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team to foster professional and technical growth.
  • Encourage talent retention and facilitate career advancement within the team.

Qualifications for the Senior Manager of FP&A:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related discipline; an MBA or advanced degree is highly regarded.
  • Over 5 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, emphasizing budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Outstanding analytical capabilities with the proficiency to translate complex financial data into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Power BI, and MS PowerPoint; familiarity with IT systems such as Data Warehouse, Oracle, and SAP is a plus.
  • Proven track record in driving operational enhancements and applying best practices within an FP&A environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting while effectively managing multiple priorities.
