Project Engineer Job Description

Bennett and Game are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join their team in Bedford, UK. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Project Manager and project team in the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee site survey investigations and coordinate, review, and distribute survey reports.
  • Attend HAZOP, ALM, HAZCON, HAZCOM meetings to assist the Project Manager.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and aid the Project Manager in site setup and enabling.
  • Assist in the preparation of H&S documentation, including risk assessments, construction phase plans, and site H&S files.
  • Maintain and update all project records within the project files.
  • Conduct delivery checks on-site or in-office and support the Project Manager in creating Impact Plans.
  • Compile documentation for inspection test plans, materials in contact proforma, and capitalisation plans.
  • Assist with the snagging process and support the commissioning engineer with commissioning plans and documentation.
  • Compile the H&S file upon project completion.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a mechanical engineering/workshop environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a strategic approach to managing local suppliers.
  • Responsible for purchasing within agreed limits as directed by Project Managers and the Senior Management Team.
