Project Engineer Job Description

Bennett and Game are a leading contractor providing engineering services and process technologies to various industries. The successful candidate will be based in Bedford, UK, and will support the Senior Project Manager and project team in the execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee site survey investigations and coordinate, review, and distribute survey reports.
  • Attend HAZOP, ALM, HAZCON, HAZCOM meetings to assist the Project Manager.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and aid the Project Manager in site setup and enabling.
  • Assist in the preparation of H&S documentation, including risk assessments, construction phase plans, and permits to work.
  • Maintain and update project records within the project files.
  • Conduct delivery checks on-site or in-office and support the Project Manager in creating Impact Plans.
  • Compile documentation for inspection test plans, materials in contact proforma, and capitalisation plans.
  • Assist with the snagging process and support the commissioning engineer with commissioning plans and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a mechanical engineering/workshop environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a strategic approach to managing local suppliers.
