About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team as a Business Partner. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing commercial insights and financial analysis to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce weekly KPIs, margin reports, and explain variances to Budget, Forecast, and Flexed Budget.
- Support in the closure of open Production orders, updating systems, and investigating any errors.
- Support in the production of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Challenge the management team on costs and practices to drive efficiency.
- Understand the drivers for COGI errors, etc., and overview of packing operations from inbound to outbound.
- Reconcile labour to standard and understand the underlying PPM and hourly rate (taking account of overtime premium) including spending time in packhouse with the Zone Managers, to build that relationship.
- Support the completion of capital/investment and efficiency projects to enable decision making.
- Support the improvement of controls regarding inventory and packing processes.
- Observe and review stocktake results and setting targeted reductions, including attendance at year-end counts.
- Support the production of commercial costing models.
- Support the Finance Manager - Operations in the production of the consolidated management accounts.
- Support the interrogation and challenge the Commercial team to ensure accurate forecasting of customer volumes, sales, and marginal gross profit.
- Involvement in the tendering process with involvement in determining the cost of the products being tendered and supporting with key decision-making regarding business-critical tenders.
- Ensuring the system is regularly updated relating to costings by SKU, ensuring accuracy in Bill of Material, assigning routings to each SKU, and facilitating the release of costing in SAP.
- Management of P3P invoicing/payment spreadsheet.
Requirements:
- Excellent numeracy and problem-solving skills.
- Good people skills to build strong relationships with business and external partners.
- Good communicator at all levels and able to influence others.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Competent with ERP systems is essential (SAP desirable).

What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary (depending on experience) with pension and 25 days' holiday. Ideally, you will be office-based 5 days a week with some life flexibility given.
