Payroll Manager Opportunity at MAN Commercial Protection

MAN Commercial Protection is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join our Head Office team in Solihull. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process multiple monthly payrolls for 1500 employees, including starter, leaver, amendments, absence, overtime, statutory payments, and pensions.
  • Deal with discrepancies and queries relating to payroll and resolve or escalate as appropriate.
  • Support the monthly financial accounting requirements of the business, including report generation, producing weekly/monthly payroll journals, reconciliations, etc.
  • Manage the Company Pension Schemes, with experience with NEST being essential.
  • Raise monthly and ad hoc payroll-related payments.
  • Recover monthly adjustments and deductions.
  • Process company cars/P11D's and deal with associated queries.
  • Complete all company and year-end payroll processes.
  • Support any Payroll/HR projects as required.
  • Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
  • Manage sickness processes and all related payments.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in Sage Payroll 50 and a thorough knowledge of pensions schemes and auto-enrolment, with experience working with NEST being an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with all MS Office programmes.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Ability to work alone and under pressure.
  • Ability to confidently meet monthly payroll targets.
  • Comfortable working closely with the Senior Management Team.
