We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Assistant Psychologist to join our Rehabilitation and High Support (RHS) Care hub in Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in inpatient settings and contribute to promoting recovery-based approaches.
About the RoleThe post holder will work within our male rehabilitation services across Heathfield House, Hurst Place, and Bevan Place. These services support men with severe and enduring mental health needs, with the aim of moving towards more independent living. The post will require the successful candidate to assist with psychological assessment, formulation, and individual and group intervention to service users who present with complex mental health problems.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with psychological assessment and formulation of service users with complex mental health needs.
- Contribute to individual and group interventions to support service users in achieving their recovery goals.
- Attend multi-disciplinary meetings, including handovers, clinical team meetings, and clinical discussion groups.
- Assist with service developments as required.
The ideal candidate will have a first or upper second-class honours degree in psychology, entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society, and experience of working with people in inpatient settings and/or mental health rehabilitation settings. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work in a highly emotive and challenging environment.
