About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Multidisciplinary Team in Stockport. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for leading psychologically informed care in the team, working closely with psychiatry colleagues, and providing supervision and skills development to other team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead psychologically informed care in the team, working closely with psychiatry colleagues.
  • Provide supervision and skills development to other team members.
  • Work with Liaison Practitioners and the MDT to develop specialist and highly complex psychological treatment plans or management for patients with complex co-occurring physical and mental ill health.
  • Maintain a small therapy caseload of 2-3 cases.
  • Work with consultant psychiatry, team manager, and other psychologist in the team to consider the development needs of the team and ensure referral and treatment protocols are well-governed.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist with:

  • Postgraduate doctorate qualification in clinical psychology.
  • Additional further training and qualifications in a range of therapeutic models.
  • Extensive experience or specific training in supervision.
  • Current registration with Health Professions Council or Professional registration body.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We would also consider applicants with:

  • Accredited membership of an appropriate psychological therapy professional body.
  • BABCP accreditation.
  • Successful completion of post-qualification training in a therapeutic modality.
