Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and committed GCSE English Tutors to join our team for the upcoming academic year. As a GCSE English Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering tailored, one-on-one, and small group tutoring sessions to students. Your role will involve:

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Students: Provide individualized support to students from various schools and local authorities, both in-person and online.
  • Developing Lesson Plans: Create engaging lesson plans that meet the specific needs and learning styles of each student.
  • Supporting Students with SEN: Provide additional support to students with SEN or EHCPs, ensuring that your teaching strategies are inclusive and effective.
  • Monitoring Progress: Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback, and adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education.
  • Motivating Students: Motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential and develop a love for English.
Requirements
  • Strong Knowledge: Possess strong knowledge of the GCSE English curriculum.
  • Experience with SEN: Have some experience working with students who have SEN and/or EHCPs.
  • Excellent Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and Empathy: Possess patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Adaptability: Be able to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs.
