About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Piping Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our nuclear energy team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing piping systems for nuclear power plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze piping systems for nuclear power plants, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement piping system designs.
  • Conduct stress analysis and pressure vessel design to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Develop and maintain technical reports and documentation to support design decisions.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified mechanical engineer (or other relevant qualification).
  • Experience in piping and pressure vessel design and stress analysis.
  • Experience in writing accurate, detailed, and concise technical reports.
  • Comfortable with engaging with clients and stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working in a safety-critical and heavily regulated environment.
  • Chartered with a relevant professional institute (or approaching application for registration).
  • Experience with design codes such as ASME BPVC Section III, RCC-M, BS EN 13480, BS EN13445.
  • Experience in tool/assessment automation – preferably in Python.
