Workshop Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Manager to join our team at Swift Recruitment. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for providing technical and diagnostic expertise to ensure the smooth operation of our workshop and service department.
Key Responsibilities- Workshop Management: Manage and control the workflow of all new units PDI's, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the Service Manager, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical advice and support to technicians, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair complex issues.
- Warranty Claims: Coordinate and follow up on warranty claims, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Service Bulletins: Coordinate and ensure that service bulletins are completed and signed off, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Maintenance and Repair: Carry out fault diagnosis for speedy machine PreDelivery Inspections, Load Testing, and servicing, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Reporting and Documentation: Complete forms and documentation as required, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Training and Development: Address and coordinate subordinates' training requirements and development, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Qualifications: Must have a Diesel/Auto Electric/Forklift trade test certificate.
- Experience: At least five years of relevant post-trade qualified experience or similar.
- Skills: Supervisory or management experience, computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, and Word), technical aptitude, and excellent communication skills.
