Job Purpose

The Finance Manager role is an independent, office-based position that supports five critical areas of our operations:

  • Client financial planning and invoicing
  • Account profitability and forecasting
  • Cash management
  • Payroll and contractor remuneration
  • Internal finance and HR systems

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational abilities and contribute to the enhancement of efficient processes and protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile and deliver monthly financial reports, including Cash Flow and Revenue Projections, to the CEO and senior leadership.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts for month-end financial statements.
  • Improve existing or create new administrative systems to enhance the Finance department's efficiency.
  • Serve as the main liaison for external regulatory bodies such as Companies House, HM Revenue & Customs, and the Pensions Regulator.
  • Regularly update Xero software for bookkeeping and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Coordinate BACS payments, manage supplier agreements, and oversee the monthly payroll process using Xero for two payroll cycles.
  • Implement a weekly credit control process and maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Prepare VAT returns in accordance with legal requirements and manage the Company's purchase order system.
  • Oversee all company expenditures, including employee reimbursements and corporate credit card transactions.
  • Manage Employer of Record entities for international payroll and provide support on compensation and tax inquiries for field personnel.
  • Collaborate with the external Company Accountant to finalize year-end financial statements.
  • Supervise the management of the company's small vehicle fleet.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for all financial documents and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
  • Reconcile headcount expenses against client budgets.
  • Prepare and analyze the monthly invoicing schedule and generate company quotes as necessary.
  • Administer the Company NEST Pension Scheme and Holiday Funds.
  • Maintain payroll records in Xero.
  • Work alongside the external Company Accountant to prepare year-end financial statements.
