A prestigious Interior Design and Architecture firm located in Central London is currently seeking a Head of Finance Operations to join their compact yet thriving team in a pivotal role for the organization.

With a portfolio of international projects, the firm has built a solid reputation for delivering outstanding client outcomes.
Your new role

In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the finance department, supported by a finance assistant. This position is dynamic and hands-on, encompassing responsibilities such as:

  • Collaborating with the Managing Director on all financial matters
  • Developing budgets and forecasts
  • Managing cash flow
  • Analyzing departmental and project profitability while providing management information to the MD
  • Administering payroll, pension plans, and employee benefits
  • Preparing and filing VAT returns
  • Compiling monthly management accounts
  • Coordinating with external auditors for statutory accounts
  • Overseeing HR and office management tasks
What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be a Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant, preferably with a background in Interior Design or Architecture firms. Candidates with project management experience in other industries will also be considered.

This role is comprehensive, requiring comfort in supporting various business areas and confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders both internally and externally. Familiarity with Xero is a plus but not mandatory.
