Senior Fire Protection Specialist

Hunter Dunning is seeking a highly skilled Senior Fire Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Fire Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading complex fire engineering projects and working closely with clients to deliver innovative fire safety solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on complex fire engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Review technical packages during RIBA Stages 4 and 5, providing expert feedback and guidance.
- Support and mentor junior team members, helping them to develop their skills and expertise.
- Lead workshops and meetings to discuss design solutions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
- Implement fire strategies during the construction phase and retrospective fire strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Produce technical engineering reports and review technical packages of contractors, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to project requirements.
- Project manage from start to end, including financial management, quality management, planning, and customer care.
- Client-facing throughout the project lifecycle, providing exceptional service and support.
- Contribute to business development and work-winning efforts, helping to identify new opportunities and grow the business.
- Engineering Council Accredited BEng Hons, MEng or MSc degree in a relevant field.
- CEng, MRICS, MCABE or working towards professional membership.
- Minimum associate member of IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers).
- Extensive experience in delivering fire-engineered solutions for UK-based projects.
- Strong understanding of UK legislation, regulations, and design guidance.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, meeting tight deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
- UK driving license and own vehicle.
- Competitive salary range of £50,000 - £65,000 (negotiable).
- Mileage paid at 45p per mile.
