Job SummaryThe Regional Director of People and Culture is responsible for the overall people, development, and cultural operations for Sea Containers London and One Hundred Shoreditch. This role will develop and implement people strategies and programs to ensure maximization of employee engagement, drive business results through outstanding guest service, optimize processes and performance, and align with the Lore Group's values and vision.

- Lead the People and Culture team to deliver outstanding guest service, optimize processes and performance, and align with the Lore Group's values and vision.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive practices that support the business and achieve desired outcomes.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance to identify trends, issues, and opportunities, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts for new or redeveloped projects, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to Executive Teams at all the hotels, driving alignment throughout and within the Group.
- Responsible for the hotels' People and Culture strategy, including innovation, development of the Group's employer brand, employee engagement, design, and delivery of training to improve guest experience, financial performance, and optimizing environmental sustainability.
- Develop and oversee the effective operational execution of People and Culture policy, strategy, and systems to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
- Define and direct People and Culture policy, translate into employment terms and operational procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Set direction and oversee the implementation of regional hotel-wide strategy and plan to become an 'employer of choice' within the markets the hotels operate within.
- Ensure the hotels' HRIS system (Workday) is fully managed and used appropriately by all employees within the region.
- Troubleshoot and provide guidance and coaching to operational managers to manage complex performance and disciplinary issues.
- Accountable for day-to-day P&L for areas of responsibility.
- Responsible for maintaining full legal and employment compliance in line with required legislation.
- Play an active role in the recruitment, selection, and development of all property-level positions, partnering with Executive team members to ensure all employees hired are culturally a strong fit for the Lore Group and the hotels.
- Collaborate with the Group's Chief People Officer on wider organization strategy, including talent acquisition and development plans, employee experience, and employee value proposition, as well as training and leadership development to generate a robust, sustainable leadership pipeline and a positive working culture across the entire group.
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Regional Director of People and Culture to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:
- Degree-level or equivalent HR experience.
- CIPD Level 7 Qualified.
- Extensive experience in HR Leadership roles.
- Experience managing large teams over multiple locations.
- Experience managing all functions of People and Culture, including Learning and Development, and Recruitment.
- Extensive experience in HR and Employment law areas.
- Extensive knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and accounting, with the ability to guide property leaders to do the same.
- Experience working within an independent hotel/hospitality organization (preferred).
- Strong experience in a leadership/senior management role (preferred).
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of HR and development processes and related disciplines, including:
- Training and Development, including management development.
- Employment law, health and safety, and other HR-related legislation.
- Talent management: recruitment, retention, and engagement.
- Reward and recognition, including benefits.
- Performance management.
- Good knowledge of IT systems and their application in an HR environment (ideally with Workday).
- Proven ability to build internal relationships.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Superior written and visual skills.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
This role is based in London, with the opportunity to work across multiple locations within the region.
