About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for providing a high-level welcome and efficient patient-focused service, promoting a positive image and maintaining strict confidentiality of information at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welcome duties, including greeting clients and visitors, and ensuring clinical staff are made aware of their take.
  • Record and relay messages accurately via telephone, email, and face-to-face contact.
  • Receive visitors, assist with their enquiries, and direct them to the relevant staff member.
  • Maintain general tidiness of the waiting area and ensure the reception area is well stocked with information relevant to clients.
  • Maintain efficient computerized and manual record systems, including requesting maintenance jobs and tracking case notes.
  • Deal with all outgoing and incoming mail, and order equipment and stationery as required.
  • Assist with other administrative duties within the administration team as required.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of OCR/RSA II typing/word processing or equivalent level of knowledge and experience. You should also have English Language and Maths GCSE Level C or equivalent, along with good supporting general education. Previous experience of working in a customer-facing role and high-level Microsoft office software is also essential.
