Associate Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join our busy civil and structural engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering geotechnical expertise across various UK-wide projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead geotechnical projects, collaborating with civil and structural teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Supervise, review, and guide junior staff members in geotechnical design and analysis, providing mentorship and support to help them grow in their roles.
- Prepare project costings and quotations for geotechnical services, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Design foundations (both ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state), as well as soil retaining structures and ground reinforcements, using specialized geotechnical software.
- Conduct ground improvement assessments, earthwork designs, and slope/settlement analysis, applying your expertise to deliver precise design solutions.
- Ensure strong commercial and contractual awareness to maintain project efficiency, working closely with clients and stakeholders to meet their needs.
- Degree in Geotechnical engineering or similar relevant qualification.
- 10 years+ of post-graduate experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
- Proven ability to lead projects and act as a trusted point of contact in client settings, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competence in foundation design, ground improvements, and earthworks assessments, with proficiency in geotechnical analysis software.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and presentations, effectively communicating complex technical information to clients and stakeholders.
