Job Title: Associate Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join our civil and structural engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering geotechnical expertise across various UK-wide projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead geotechnical projects, collaborating with civil and structural teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  2. Supervise, review, and guide junior staff members in geotechnical design and analysis, providing mentorship and support to help them grow in their roles.
  3. Prepare project costings and quotations for geotechnical services, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
  4. Design foundations (both ULS and SLS), soil retaining structures, and ground reinforcements, applying your expertise to deliver safe and efficient solutions.
  5. Conduct ground improvement assessments, earthwork designs, and slope/settlement analysis, using specialized geotechnical software to deliver precise design solutions.
  6. Ensure strong commercial and contractual awareness to maintain project efficiency, managing budgets and timelines effectively.
Requirements:
  1. Degree in Geotechnical engineering or similar relevant qualification.
  2. 10 years+ of post-graduate experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  3. Proven ability to lead projects and act as a trusted point of contact in client settings, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Competence in foundation design, ground improvements, and earthworks assessments, with a strong understanding of geotechnical software and analysis techniques.
  5. Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and presentations, effectively communicating complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
