Job Title: Associate Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join our civil and structural engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering geotechnical expertise across various UK-wide projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead geotechnical projects, collaborating with civil and structural teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Supervise, review, and guide junior staff members in geotechnical design and analysis, providing mentorship and support to help them grow in their roles.
  • Prepare project costings and quotations for geotechnical services, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Design foundations, soil retaining structures, and ground reinforcements, utilizing specialized geotechnical software to deliver precise design solutions.
  • Conduct ground improvement assessments, earthwork designs, and slope/settlement analysis, applying your expertise to ensure project efficiency.
  • Ensure strong commercial and contractual awareness, maintaining project efficiency and ensuring successful project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Geotechnical engineering or similar relevant qualification.
  • 10 years+ of post-graduate experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of leading projects and acting as a trusted point of contact in client settings.
  • Competence in foundation design, ground improvements, and earthworks assessments, with proficiency in geotechnical analysis software.
  • Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and presentations, communicating complex ideas effectively to clients and stakeholders.
