We are seeking an experienced Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join our civil and structural engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering geotechnical expertise across various UK-wide projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead geotechnical projects, collaborating with civil and structural teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Supervise, review, and guide junior staff members in geotechnical design and analysis, providing mentorship and support to help them grow in their roles.
- Prepare project costings and quotations for geotechnical services, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
- Design foundations (both ULS and SLS), soil retaining structures, and ground reinforcements, applying your expertise to deliver safe and efficient solutions.
- Conduct ground improvement assessments, earthwork designs, and slope/settlement analysis, using specialized geotechnical software to deliver precise design solutions.
- Ensure strong commercial and contractual awareness to maintain project efficiency, managing budgets and timelines effectively.
- Degree in Geotechnical engineering or similar relevant qualification.
- 10 years+ of post-graduate experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
- Proven ability to lead projects and act as a trusted point of contact in client settings, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competence in foundation design, ground improvements, and earthworks assessments, with a strong understanding of geotechnical software and analysis techniques.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and presentations, effectively communicating complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
