Job Description

Data Operations and Quality Management

The successful candidate will report to the Global Head of Data, sitting in a highly visible and autonomous seat, facing off to the front office, technology teams, and the data vendor team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Running data onboarding, analysis, and quality management for large datasets being brought onto the fund's platform
  • Oversight of data breakdown as it is transmitted through the data pipeline, through to the investment team
  • Working to understand the needs of internal data management frameworks and using technical skills to analyze new datasets
  • Improving data quality by performing root cause analysis and taking on projects to improve data pipelines
  • Overseeing processing and support of data users internally and working with the technology team to ensure correct adjustments are made to streamline transmission and improve data governance processes

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of relevant experience in a Data Analyst/Data Operations/Data Quality focused role at a bank, buy-side, or a data vendor. Candidates must have an excellent academic profile and coding skills, ideally in Python, but also in Matlab, R, SQL, and/or VBA.

What We Offer

Mondrian Alpha is committed to offering the successful candidate a strong increase on their current base and a year one target bonus range that will make up a large percentage of that base number. The role will initially require a 5-day office week, with the possibility of working from home 1-2 days per week once established.
