Job Overview

As the Lead Performance Manager for Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) within NHS England, the successful candidate will be an integral part of a proactive team dedicated to ensuring exceptional UEC services throughout the region. This role requires fostering a strong collaborative relationship with the Head of UEC Performance to maintain alignment between performance metrics and improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all essential business submissions, including strategic planning and workforce analytics.
  • Creating and executing systems that guarantee effective information management and the dissemination of best practices across the team and wider NHS entities.
  • Leading the coordination of training, development, and recruitment efforts within the department.
  • Managing all financial aspects of departmental budgets.

Main Duties:

  • Facilitating the execution of the UEC recovery strategy through effective performance management.
  • Assisting in the establishment and oversight of the UEC recovery framework to ensure comprehensive regional monitoring and successful delivery of complex outcomes through a structured program that includes goal setting, resource management, risk assessment, and success metrics.
  • Maintaining productive relationships with all stakeholders, including directors, managers, and clinicians, while providing support to project leads across the region.
  • Ensuring the delivery of governance and reporting mechanisms to provide assurance to stakeholders, along with regular updates to the Programme Board and actionable recommendations.
  • Handling multiple information requests with tight deadlines, while designing and implementing systems to maintain a clear understanding of program performance and delivery challenges across the NHS.

  • Coordinating regional operational planning and assurance.
  • Facilitating the efficient use of resources across the health service.

Qualifications:
