Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team within the Chemical & Biological Treatment division. This role is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in our Manchester office.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer, you will oversee the successful execution of projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the primary contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Directing and managing the work of Trade Operatives and Apprentices, focusing on quality, productivity, and safety.
  • Ensuring all necessary technical documentation is available for both design and construction phases.
  • Reviewing and interpreting project drawings, specifications, and schedules to guide project activities.
  • Identifying and addressing any non-conformance issues promptly.
  • Managing the design processes to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
  • Preparing and finalizing contract documents and quality deliverables.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, including reviewing tender specifications and health & safety documentation.
  • Developing Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans in accordance with regulations.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • A proven track record in project management, preferably with an engineering or supervisory background.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and convey technical information.
  • Knowledge of engineering tools, equipment, and materials, particularly in Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.
  • A proactive approach to working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Innovative thinking and a willingness to learn and apply new technologies.
  • A valid UK Driving Licence.
