The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Design Team, you will be responsible for coordinating and designing projects to deliver exceptional results. Your primary duties will include:

  • Coordinating and designing projects to deliver on time and within budget
  • Working collaboratively with the Design Team to produce high-quality concept and detail designs
  • Undertaking site surveys, work progress monitoring, snagging inspections, and dilapidation inspections, and preparing concise written reports
  • Providing positive contributions to design, project, cost review, and site meetings
  • Undertaking regular design Quality Assurance reviews and checks
  • Producing technically excellent concept, feasibility, and detail designs and specifications for engineering systems
  • Implementing Company Health and Safety risk assessments and method statements
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in good engineering practice and advances in technology
  • Embracing the company's work ethics of honesty and integrity
  • Delivering work to Company quality, revenue, and profit criteria

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills, able to relate well at all levels
  • Proficient IT and organizational skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills and team building skills with the ability to train and mentor staff
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Design software packages including AutoCAD/Revit
  • CIBSE accredited Honors Degree course
