PARK Senior Villas Chandler is seeking a skilled 3D CAD Mechanical Design Draughtsperson to join our team. As a key member of our mechanical engineering department, you will play a crucial role in the development of new products and the sustainment of existing ones.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the design and analysis teams in the development of new products and the readiness of existing ones.
  • Produce documentation required for new product definition, manufacture, and assembly, as well as changes to current products.
  • Assist in the design of fixtures, tools, and minor parts.
  • Assist in the build of prototypes, fixtures, tools, and internal test equipment.
  • Manage the efforts of supporting mechanical technicians when required.
  • Support the leadership team in achieving its duties and engagements.
  • Provide guidance and developmental support to fellow engineers.
Essential Skills:
  • Drafting of mechanical engineering drawings from 3D parametric CAD models.
  • Creation and modification of 3D parametric CAD models.
  • Working to standards, such as drawing standards, preferably BS8888 and ASME Y.
  • Change process control and documentation.
  • Part and feature dimensional tolerance control, preferably with GD T.
  • Data base management, working within a PDM system, preferably WindChill and Teamcenter.
  • Management and delivery of assigned work packages, with ownership and autonomy, to schedule and budget.
  • Identification and communication of risk and error when seen.
  • Collaboration with engineers across different disciplines.
  • Management of supporting technicians, taking responsibility for their output, and tracking the completion of their work against schedule and budget.
  • Peer review of the work of other technicians.
  • Support to fellow engineers, team leads, project leads, and functional managers as required.
  • Competence in the use of CAD tools, specifically CREO.
  • Good communication, organization, and ability to work within a multi-disciplined team.
  • Experience in the communication of part and assembly detail through engineering drawing, specifically to standard, preferably BS8888/ASME Y, and with an understanding of dimensional tolerance control and GD T.
