Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to become an integral part of our Chemical & Biological Treatment division. This role offers a full-time, permanent opportunity within our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary focus will be overseeing the execution of projects from inception to completion. You will engage directly with clients, ensuring their needs are met while managing project performance effectively.

  • Act as the primary contact from initial inquiry through to project acceptance and documentation.
  • Conduct site surveys and client meetings to gather specific project requirements.
  • Direct and manage the work of Trade Operatives and Apprentices, emphasizing quality, productivity, and safety.
  • Ensure the availability of all necessary technical information for design and construction phases.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schedules, preparing final documentation.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any discrepancies during both design and construction phases.
  • Oversee the design of systems and products, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Prepare and manage contract documents and project quality deliverables.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, including reviewing tender specifications and health & safety documentation.
  • Develop Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans in accordance with regulations.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • A proven history in Project Management, complemented by an engineering or supervisory background.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to multitask and organize workloads effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and convey technical information.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools, equipment, and materials, particularly in Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.
  • A proactive approach, capable of working independently and leading teams.
  • Innovative thinking and a willingness to embrace new technologies.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid UK Driving Licence.
