About the Role

As an Area Manager at Amazon UK Services Ltd., you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our sites. You will be responsible for leading a team that is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement a culture of safety and wellbeing within your team
  • Analyse and improve processes to maintain high quality and productivity levels
  • Oversee projects to streamline operations and improve customer service
  • Monitor shift performance and implement actions to improve operational excellence
  • Collaborate with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices
A Day in the Life

You will work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on maintaining a productive and safe working environment. Your responsibilities will include routine team management, daily operational tasks, and process improvement initiatives. You will also be a role model and mentor to new managers.

About the Team

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) is a dedicated team that manages the delivery and installation of large items, including furniture and home appliances. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer care, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns. Our team is made up of professionals from operations, supply chain, business intelligence, and programme management, working together to drive growth and innovation in this area of the business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree
  • Relevant experience in people management
  • Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Relevant experience in using data to influence business decisions
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques
  • Experience working in another logistics environment
  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite
