The Role
We're looking for a skilled Claims Lodgement Specialist to join our team in Newcastle. As part of our diverse team, you'll help make a positive impact on someone's life every day.
The purpose of this role is to be responsible for processing and managing workers compensation claims lodgments, including handling phone lodgements from customers, and supporting the business in allocating claims into a team equipped to deliver appropriate return to work strategies with an optimal customer experience.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position based in the Newcastle office, with flexibility to work from home.
Your Responsibilities
- Gather comprehensive information at lodgement to ensure the claim is assigned to the most appropriate segment to meet specific customer needs.
- Provide excellent customer service experience.
- Provide education to our customers on the claims management process.
- Improve overall quality of phone lodgement and communication.
- Encourage proactive and open communication with key stakeholders during the lodgement information gathering process.
About You
- Workers compensation experience is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated experience in customer service with a passion for helping people.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple claims efficiently is vital to meet deadlines and maintain a smooth workflow.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology.
