We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our digital accessibility efforts, ensuring that our digital platforms meet the highest standards of accessibility and inclusion.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of embedding digital accessibility thinking into a large, complex organisation, with a clear strategy, training, and education programme in place.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing consulting support to teams responsible for digital touchpoints across the organisation on what is required to meet WCAG 2.1 standards.
  • Ensuring that all digital platforms have been consistently accredited on a regular basis through our partnerships with the Digital Accessibility Centre and AbilityNet.
  • Developing a business case to fix any non-compliant areas, gaining buy-in from senior stakeholders, including finance, for prioritisation and approval.
  • Providing expertise to ensure that the organisation has the skills and techniques to confidently design and build accessible and inclusive digital experiences.
  • Leading thought leadership on the next steps that the organisation could take to evolve its digital inclusion strategy and maturity.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading, shaping, and delivering a Digital Accessibility programme, embedding WCAG 2.1 AA standards into all digital touchpoints.
  • Financial services experience is ideal, or private sector experience.

This is a 6-month contract based in London/Swindon (Hybrid - 2 days in a week).
