Position Overview

As a key player in our engineering team, the NPI Manufacturing Project Engineer will oversee the coordination of New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives, collaborating with various departments, clients, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing Engineering Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in CNC Milling and Turning, including advanced 5-axis capabilities.
  • Project Management: Take charge of project management responsibilities, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to established objectives through effective stage gate reviews and stakeholder engagement.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize extensive technical and practical machining knowledge to design, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes.
  • Performance Improvement: Focus on enhancing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations.
  • Cost Reduction: Apply Lean methodologies to minimize manufacturing expenses.
  • Safety Compliance: Uphold a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with both company policies and legal regulations.
  • Effective Communication: Exhibit strong communication skills to liaise efficiently with clients and subcontractors.
Project Execution

In the role of NPI Manufacturing Project Engineer, you will lead the execution of NPI projects, establishing comprehensive project management plans to oversee product delivery and resource allocation for implementing changes. Your efforts will directly impact critical quality metrics, including customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, timeliness, accuracy, efficiency, cost savings, and process quality.

Production Readiness

Prepare for mass production by setting up production trials and ensuring operational readiness across the supply chain, including master data setup, Bill of Materials (BOMs), routings, and raw material availability.

Budget Management

Ensure NPI projects remain within budgetary constraints, taking into account manufacturing costs, capital expenditure needs, and production rates.

Client Engagement

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress and leveraging your expertise to guide NPI decisions.

Collaboration and Support

Work closely with the Engineering Manager to meet daily targets, offering support to team members with engineering challenges and delivering optimal engineering solutions. Utilize Lean manufacturing tools, including the 5S methodology, to enhance operational efficiency.
