Role Summary:

We are in search of a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a design engineering setting, focusing on the creation of intricate, high-precision components.

The successful candidate will oversee engineering design, project scheduling, reporting, and will provide both technical and administrative assistance across all projects.

This position necessitates a diverse background and a robust understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including stress analysis, material properties, and thermal calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Execute engineering design tasks for custom, innovative prototype products.
  2. Develop concept and detailed designs in accordance with project timelines.
  3. Revise project schedules and timelines to ensure the timely delivery of outcomes.
  4. Compile detailed reports outlining project status and results.
  5. Offer technical and administrative support for all initiatives.
  6. Create procurement lists and initiate RFQs and purchase orders as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a design manufacturing environment, focusing on complex components; experience in aerospace or medical devices is preferred.
  • Qualified in Mechanical Engineering at HNC or NVQ level 5.
  • Strong grasp of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Capable of performing traditional hand calculations.
  • Solid background in design/project engineering and administration.
  • Proficient in a 3D design software such as Solidworks.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
