Principal Field Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Field Engineer to join our team at Class Technology Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to our clients and ensuring the smooth operation of their networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients on network infrastructure and engineering projects
  • Identify areas of growth and improvement within client networks and escalate to account managers
  • Mentor and train network managers and engineers on site
  • Assist the helpdesk team with escalated issues and provide additional knowledge of site or product
  • Keep the CTS Service Manager abreast of ongoing issues and progress
  • Scope requirements for client projects and work with Head of Technical and Account Managers to identify current setup and required goals
  • Lead engineering projects for client sites and provide detailed scope of works and design to clients
  • Work with account managers to ensure all equipment is correct and that clients see you as the face of the project
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with wired and wireless networking, switches, virtual environments, firewalls, web filtering, and advanced troubleshooting
  • GCSE Grade 5 or above in Maths and English
  • Industry qualifications within the IT sector - Microsoft, Cisco, Aruba, Apple, is preferred
  • 4-5 years' experience in an IT Support environment
  • Impeccable attention to detail and commitment to quality
