About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced clinical practitioner to strengthen their safeguarding portfolio and lead safeguarding activity within the organisation. As a key leader in the safeguarding team, you will be responsible for driving safeguarding initiatives and ensuring safe and effective services for vulnerable children and adults.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure compliance with national and local guidelines.
  • Lead multi-agency child protection work and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective safeguarding practices.
  • Deliver training and education to staff on safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with safeguarding standards.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on safeguarding matters to staff and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Registered Children's Nurse or Community Public Health Practitioner qualification.
  • 1st Level Degree in a relevant field.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and training in safeguarding to minimum Level 3.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • IT skills, including email, word, and data collection.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyse and critically evaluate information.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
