Job Description

Overview

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled ITIL Service Configuration Lead to join our Cloud Infrastructure & Security services practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the execution of ITIL processes, ensuring seamless service delivery, and driving process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a single point of contact for the execution of ITIL processes, including incident management, problem management, change management, and service catalog management.
  • Define and establish service goals, expected outcomes, and measurable results for ITSM processes and functions.
  • Ensure services and tools are consistently deployed, executed, measured, monitored, and improved for incident management, problem management, change management, asset management, configuration management, capacity management, and service catalog management.
  • Develop business cases to propose and implement additional ITSM processes and functions to further improve service delivery.
  • Manage discussions with customers and other service providers/vendors for all in-scope infrastructure-related technical services, including networking, servers, VMware, and storage.
  • Lead ITIL process resources to achieve process KPIs and service level targets.
  • Act as a crisis manager during critical incidents, guide proactive problem management, address critical issues, and ensure up-to-date maintenance of the CMDB.
  • Continually analyze and refine service portfolio metrics to shape the future ITSM strategy.
  • Ensure process adherence, meet quality norms, and report to customers on all process areas as per contractual agreements.

Requirements

  • Experience in ITIL processes, including incident management, problem management, change management, and service catalog management.
  • Experience in ITSM processes and functions, as well as their supporting tools.
  • Experience in managing discussions with customers and other service providers/vendors for all in-scope infrastructure-related technical services.
  • Experience in leading ITIL process resources to achieve process KPIs and service level targets.
  • Experience as a crisis manager during critical incidents, guiding proactive problem management, addressing critical issues, and ensuring up-to-date maintenance of the CMDB.
